Commercial Collective facilitates leases for two not-for-profit organisations

Newcastle, July 2024 – Commercial Collective supports the growth of two major Not-For-Profit Organisations through recent property leasing.

Commercial Collective are proud to have facilitated the leases of 82 Belford Street, Broadmeadow, and 591 Hunter Street, Newcastle to two Not-For-Profit organisations in the local community - Dress for Success & Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. Commercial Collective’s successful leasing facilitation for both properties exemplifies the organisations desire to support the growth of local organisations that aim to improve the health and wellbeing of Hunter residents.

Dress for Success (DFS) has been in the Hunter region for 5 years, with the company establishing their Newcastle/Hunter branch in 2019. The organisation supports more than 2,500 women into employment across the Hunter and New South Wales. DFS’ signature Styling service and suite of Career Support offerings aim to help women – at no expense - overcome bias and discrimination when entering or re-entering the workforce. Senior Executive at Commercial Collective, Isaac Reville, and tenant representative, Nick Lane from NJ Lane Property Advisory, successfully negotiated the lease of 82 Belford Street Broadmeadow, Suite 2 via an off-market campaign to DFS recently. DFS’ growth and relocation to a larger operational precinct shows continued need for their services in the area.

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT has successfully leased 591 Hunter Street, Newcastle. Guide Dogs delivers essential services to children, teenagers, adults, and older Australians who are blind or have low vision in our region, aiming to bolster their independence and freedom to move safely around their community. The Not-For-Profit organisation has been servicing vision-impaired individuals and commenced other community initiatives in Australia since the 1950s. Moving from Wharf Road to their new space in Hunter Street, the organisation has almost doubled the size of their original space. The successful leasing of the property to Guide Dogs Australia was facilitated by Commercial Collective Director Jared Harris, and tenant advisor, Nicole Duncan from CR Commercial Property Group. The expansion of Guide Dogs in the Hunter region signals a greater ability to provide proactive services to their clients and we are pleased to have been able to assist this valuable organisation in their growth through commercial property.

"It is truly rewarding to have been able to use commercial property to assist in the growth of not-for-profit local organisations, enabling them to expand their business endeavors and create more opportunities to support residents in the Hunter region,” said Dane Crawford, Commercial Collective’s CEO.

Commercial Collective is proud to support local organisations’ growth within the Hunter region through commercial real estate. The successful leasing of both properties underscores Commercial Collective’s commitment to supporting the success and growth of the local region.
